Hello Anglers. My name is Russ Schmidt, Captain and avid fisherman. I have been fishing the flats from coast to coast in the state of Florida going on 20 years now. As you all know, fishing the flats requires a lot of spot to spot fishing which in turn requires a lot of anchor dropping and anchor pulling. Acquiring a new boat in the late 80's with a poling platform and a push pole, of course I would attempt to stake out with the push pole, which at times was hard to get into the bottom, too long, or even too big around to properly hold.
After trying many different devices to anchor with (without much luck,,,) I came up with the idea for the “anchor pin”. I have been constantly asked by other anglers, "What is that?" and "Where can I get one?" Well, I've finally brought it to market.
